Volunteer Opportunities

Work alongside a small international team supporting inclusion projects across Africa.

Join Our Team

We are very happy to announce that we are opening applications for a small number of volunteer roles to join our team in fundraising, strategic partnerships and communications.

These are remote and flexible positions, typically requiring around 4–6 hours per week. Volunteers will work alongside our team on real projects and organisational priorities, receive regular support and supervision, and contribute to work with genuine organisational impact.

Given the nature of these roles and the time required for induction and learning, we are ideally looking for volunteers who can commit to the programme for a minimum of 12 months.

We are looking for people who are thoughtful, curious and willing to contribute their skills to strengthening opportunities for disabled children and young people across our projects.

We do not expect applicants to meet every requirement listed in the role descriptions. Commitment, initiative and alignment with our values matter just as much as previous experience.

How to Apply

Please send:

  • Your CV

  • A short cover letter explaining:

    • Which role you are applying for

    • Why you would like to volunteer with Disability Africa

    • Why you believe you would be a good fit for the role

    • How you anticipate managing the time commitment alongside your other responsibilities

Applications should be sent to enquiries@disability-africa.org, clearly stating the role you are applying for in the subject line.

We will be accepting applications throughout the first weeks of July.

What Happens Next?

Following the application deadline, we will review all submissions and develop a shortlist of candidates. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an informal online conversation to discuss their interests, experience and availability, and to explore whether the role would be a good fit for both parties.
